Krazed Wrote:Sorry I'm a bit lost. What is it you want the source of?

point your browser to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/
and copy the html source of it to pastebin.

Firefox: ctrl-u or view menu -> page source
IE: view menu -> source

megacrypto Wrote:i guess it does that with all movies, only the movies that happen to have an nfo file for them appear to have the movie name (which i guess is being read from the nfo file and not from imdb)

i myself like imdb because of the cast info which is sometimes a nice feature to search by actors

wrong assumption, please don't mislead others.

no, it was good that you provided because now it's clear that for some very weird reason the two outputs are different. From the browser it is what we expect for the scraper, but your cache file contains unexpected tags.

Can you please delete all your cache and try again?

Smile no intention to mislead anyone .. i just said i guess .. i leave it to the ones who know exactly what the scraper does to decide if what im saying is relevant or not Blush

I had the same issues with the scraper and deleting ~/.xbmc/temp (Linux) has fixed things.

Ha that fixed it, cheers. I went and deleted the entire contents of XBMC\cache and everything began working like normal. Went for a hunt to see which file in particular was the culprit and it was cookies.dat that was causing most of the trouble. Deleting that and the contents of XBMC\cache\scrapers\metadata.imdb.com fixed all the problems.

Thanks for all the help on this,
Krazed

I can't get rating, Director, Writer, Genre from any movie since like a couple of updates ago. I also lost titles when scraping but they are back since 1.0.13, but I'm still missing everything else, including cast info.

My debug log: http://pastebin.com/PGE4nytp
I was scraping Iron Man 2: http://pastebin.com/dzbc7W1L

Running Windows 7 32 bits Dharma beta 1 with scraper version 1.0.13

EDIT: Cleaning the XBMC/cache folder workaround works.

I used to have the same problem with my Czech movies until I enabled full cast credits (actually I enabled everything) and changed the Preferred Title Language from Keep Original to USA/International. Now all is good again!! Smile

Some updates on my issues:

Honestly after playing around with removing/rescrapping the movies, I am not completely sure that it was IMDB scrapper which caused my issue. But I kept having the same issues: no titles/years for ANY movies that I added. I even tried removing some old movies on my database, and adding them again. Still the same issue.

Finally I decided to try with a new .xbmc folder. I renamed the current .xbmc. Started XBMC, let it create new .xbmc folder. Shut XBMC down. Copied the addon folders and Database folder in userdata folder in old renamed xmbc to the newly created one. And tried rescrapping again. And it worked.

Not sure if this works for others, but it did work for me.

I verify everything working with the IMDB scraper as of SVN 33844 (current as of today) EXCEPT the rating (1-10 scale) and votes section.

As to my opinion on IMDB, I think that TMDB is better for all future implementation except for this ratings section. So I do miss this data from the IMDB scraper!

I could snoop around in the scraper myself, but it seems someone on the forum has been keeping it up to date very well!

Just an FYI as the scraper otherwise works great.

What version of IMDB do you have? I have 1.0.13 and the ratings/votes work fine.

A possible bug ??!?!?!?

lucid+dharma beta+imdb 1.0.13

I have a problem when I use this scraper for adult movie.
I get only:
-Title of the movie
-Director
-Year
-Genre

and NO actor (zero actors in database after downloading movie information)
for example this movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481998/
I have an IMDB account, and I'm loged in when I do the scrap.

When i scrap IMDB for non adult movies, I get everything, including actors.
Here is an example
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083944/

Is this a bug?
