IMDB - new layout
#61
loverboy Wrote:Already tried 1.0.15 and same problem like here.

I have a problem when I use this scraper for adult movie.
I get only:
-Title of the movie
-Director
-Year
-Genre

and NO actor (zero actors in database after downloading movie information)
for example this movie:
"La grande enfilade" (1978)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481998/

When i scrap IMDB for non adult movies, I get everything, including actors.
Here is an example
"First Blood" (1982)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083944/

...and I've already answered your question previously.

@olympia

OK, thank you.

I understand it is not a bug, and XBMC Scraper within XBMC is nothing to do with my IMDB account. Nerd

But why, old fashioned IMDB scraper in Camelot worked for both movies examples I gave you ( this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481998/ and this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083944/ ) and new IMDB scraper add-on in Dharma working
just for this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083944/ and NOT for this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481998/ Huh??

I hope I was more accurately.

So... the conclusion is: there are no chances, like in the past, to fetch complete data for movies flagged as adult from IMDB ?!?!?!?!?!? Oo

Thank you again, and sorry for the misunderstanding Wink

P.S. I saw that something has changed in the IMDB graphics !

Where can I get the XML of this from please as I can't find it anywhere. I am on Camelot if it makes any difference.

Have the same problem with no titles and no year when scraping and can't fix it.

You should read back not more than 4 post for an answer to your question. Is it too many?

Maybe I'm stupid then as I have read the whole thread and can't see an answer to the question, unless it's the post where you said you can't do it for Camelot XBMC Live. In the past I have just grabbed the xml file from some benevolent person, so not sure what I am missing with all the cryptic answers.

Camelot users use this one:

http://xbmchuscraper.googlecode.com/svn/...t/imdb.xml

!!! Do not use it on Dharma !!!

Thanks for that, but is pretty much the same as before as still not pulling down the year of the movie.

All my scrapers are located in /usr/share/xbmc/system/scrapers/video. I am assuming this is correct?

Re-download what exactly? I uninstalled Live the other day and then downloaded it again - is that what you mean? If not, then what do I need to do?

Fan-freaking-tastic. Very nice work, Olympia. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this, and supporting those of us not willing or able to upgrade to bleeding edge.

Awesome.

Maybe becuase you are so confusing?

- What is an adult movie? I see no flag in the movie you gave as an example.

- I see there is no cast scraped for that movie, I could even fix that, but how many other movies you have with this problem? Or only this single one?

- Also, I don't really get the point to scrape a movie with almost no information (poster, plot, etc).

Hello Olympia

Sorry... you are right ....

Quote:- What is an adult movie? I see no flag in the movie you gave as an example.

I got stuck on that movie, and I do not know why I got no actors while there are in database??
For that kind of problematic movies, you said, you know how to solve this?!

I tried an automatic scan and got 95% good info for my movies.
So there are just a few movies with problems.
I have them organized in folders like this "moviename.avi" and "moviename.nfo". In that "moviename.nfo" I have put the link of the movie previously found on a search in http://www.imdb.com.

Quote:- What is an adult movie? I see no flag in the movie you gave as an example.

When you search for an adult movie directly from Internet browser on the main page of the http://www.imdb.com there are two situations.
1.You don't have an account: returned results of the search will NOT include adult movie info.
2.You have an imdb.com account and you are logged in: returned results of the search will include FIRST adult movie info that you've searched (if it is in their database).

Maybe that's why I was so confusing/confused.
But as you say, once you have find the link to that adult "flagged" movie and putted it into "*.nfo" file, xbmc scraper will fetch info, even if you have IMDB account or not, moreover if you're logged in or not.

"Almost no information" is more than nothing Wink

Thank you again and more forgive me if my english and my point of view were not so good.

Anyway, all things are more clear now.
Thank you for great work you do with IMDB scraper.

offtopic:
Is there a chance to make a scraper for this database : http://www.egafd.com ?
Or is this project already somewhere in the Internet ?
