Sometimes my xbmc becomes frozen and unresponsive during video playback. It stays frozen for a minute or more and then it resumes again. Do you have any suggestion on how I can debug this so I can find out what is wrong?

I never had this issue with Ubuntu 10.04 but I started to notice XBMC freezing after I upgraded to 11.04.

Ubuntu is not frozen and can still be used as a desktop. This issue only persists with XBMC. For a temporary fix, I ssh into my XBMC machine and reboot from the command line. After the computer is rebooted, I can resume watching content.

I too have all of my media on SAMBA share.

I thought that this may be an issue with RAM usage, but after running the command "free -mt" I found that when XBMC is frozen, there is not over use of RAM. I have posted the results below.
