"No" Refresh Rate with Dharma b1?
#1
I’ve previously run the XBMC svn builds from the archlinux AUR with great success.

Recently I’ve upgraded to Dharma b1 and now I’m noticing some oddities with my display refresh rate.

The System -> Video Output settings in XBMC only list one resolution (1920x1080 which is native) and no refresh rate at all.
0.00 Hz is chosen and cannot be modified.

Video playback works with judder but my TV has no option to display what kind of input refresh rate it is getting. All XBMC OSDs show the refreshrate as zero hertz and I can’t find anything in the debug logs either. Huh

Archlinux 2.6.25.4-1 up-to-date as of 05.09.10
XBMC Dharma beta 1 (r33414 I believe?) in standalone mode
ati catalyst 10.8-2
xorg.conf autogenerated by aticonfig
HD5770 connected to Pioneer Kuro 6010 via HDMI

relevant debug log:

http://pastebin.com/tsZ2bmwK

any pointers would be appreciated.

got the same problem with dharma b1
i use arch too Smile
with an nvidia gt240

after too much testing i revert back to 9.11, work flawlessy (my plasma support a very wide range of refresh, and xranrd report 60, 24 and 50 at 1080p)

just to note: with xbmcfreak-10.00-svn33324 (live) i got no problem..
Could be a issue of arch buid ?

what repo are you using (or compiling svn from yaourt) ?

maybe i will try with beta2...
