I think the old XBMC (I am currently running Dharma) had 3 options for play and pause: Play, Pause and PlayPause. The last one was a toggle option, like the space bar key.

My new remote driver issues another button press when releasing the play button and for some reason the Play directive in Lircmap.xml is now also a toggle. Same goes for Pause.

So when I press those buttons, the player pauses and instantly resumes playback, both on the Play and Pause buttons. Is there a way to get the original behavior back?

Is this intended to happen or just a bug?

I just found my old configuration which indeed has a separate Play and Pause button so this new behavior is incorrect. Is there a way to fix this without modifying XBMC (aka considering it as a bug)?
