I got a spiffy USb to SPDIF device for my mac, works great with itunes etc but XBMC does not 'see it' so in system prefs I have analogue/optical/hdmi

I my new spoffy device is chosen as default output, then XBMC is silent.

Is this just the way it is?

I use m-transit USB-Audio Card for my Mac Mini (PPC). It works perfect in XBMC 9.11 for digital output over SPDIF. So I would say USB Audio is supported

I'll get a log today. The one I got here is not being seen by XBMC.
