After returning to a film which has been playing on the background, while being at a menu, the video plays back really quickly to catch up to the audio which has been playing at a normal speed. Sometimes I can also here the audio from the video jumping and skipping while at the menu. What can it be? This happens for any type of media file. I am using XBMC Dharma with the Xperience skin, but this problem persists on any skin.

[I would have gone with CamStudio, but couldn't get the avi to work, and the size of the video was 400mb.]

It looks as if the error occurs whenever the system loads information while playback.
