are you absolutely sure you have fglrx >=2:8.911 as deb pkg installed?
I bet you don't - and thats why xbmc refuses to install.
The instructions are really easy to follow.
check your fglrx version with
Code:dpkg -l | grep fglrx
But I'm secretly thinking about buying an Nvidia card. The Linux support for the Radeon cards is a bit too experimental for my taste. On the other hand: if I can get this to work, it's ok with me.
