That would be nice and a rechargeable version with that docking station shown.

I see that it has a PC and a TV mode. How configurable are the modes?
My XBMC box is meant to be left on (it gathers media in the background), and I'd much rather control the volume on my TV than the software volume on the XBMC box. I have one of the euro oldschool MCE remotes that handles everything that I need with the exception of switching my TV's inputs - that's the only reason that my TV's remote isn't in a drawer. How close should I be able to get to emulating this? Will the remote's firmware be upgradable in the case that further configurability features might be added in the future? pike Wrote:The little dongle is for RF, correct. OK makes sense... So that means for the people with universal IR remotes we can't get rid of the MCE IR then. Kind of would be nice if we can get away from using the MCE stuff.

Backlit or I won't buy. How expensive can a couple led's be? Make it $70 then to offset the costs...

I've asked the question to Motorola about coming up with a solution to back lighting the existing remote. I will feedback if its going to get in to this version.
The technical hurdle is that most of the circuitry is already built at this point, adding lights wouldn't be a problem, but then everything has to get re-worked. The next version will defiantly have a back lit after the various requests. @BORIStheBLADE I dont quite follow, the idea is you should be able to convert all your remotes into just this one device using the programmable IR feature |

Engadget has some nice renders at the jump, and it will support out of the box Mac, Windows, Linux and the original Apple TV

I'm just trying to figure out if and how a Harmony can be used without the MCE IR with this new device. The RF part is for your HTPC. (receiver included) The IR part is for all your other devices, they already have receivers.

One question: in the keyboard side there is a mouse, but it's a key up/down/left/right or it's a real mouse like the imon pad for example? If it act as up/down/left/right I think that this remote is perfect also as M.A.M.E. gamepad!
