XBMC Live - Mount of filesystem failed.
#1
I have installed xbmc live on a USB stick and I keep getting "Mount of filesystem failed" errors.
The first time after a clean install, XBMC boots just fine without errors. But after the first reboot, I get a console with:

Code:
Mount of filesystem failed.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and re-try.
* Starting init crypto disks...                                   [ OK ]

Pressing Ctrl-D results in

Code:
mountall start/spawned, process 3006
swapon: /dev/disk/by-uuid/[GUID]: swapon failed: Device or resource busy
mountall: swapon /dev/disk/by-uuid/[GUID] [3013] terminated with status 255
mountall: Problem activated swap: /dev/disk/by-uuid/[GUID]
fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16
/dev/sde1 contains a file system with errors, check forced.
/dev/sde1: Unattached inode 45936

/dev/sde1: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
     (i.e., without -a or -p options)
mountall: fsck / [3012] terminated with status 4
mountall: Filesystem has errors: /
init: mountall main process (3011) terminated with status 3
Mount of filesystem failed.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and re-try.

sudo fsck:

Code:
fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16
e2fsck 1.41.9 (22-Aug-2009)
/dev1/sde1 contains a file system with errors, check forced.
Pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes
Pass 2: Checking directory structure
Pass 3: Checking directory connectivity
Pass 4: Checking reference counts
Unattached inode 45936
Connect to /lost+found<y>?

Inode 45936 ref count is 2, should be 1. Fix<y>?

Pass 5: Checking group summary information

/dev1/sde1: ***** FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED *****
/dev1/sde1: ***** REBOOT LINUX *****
/dev1/sde1: 47091/732960 files (0.1% non-contiguous), 296500/2929846 Blocks

After a reboot xbmc loads normally, but after the next reboot the same thing happens, only with a lot more messages about unattached inodes and block bitmap differences in fsck

I had this problem before and ignored it (running fsck manually each time) but it kept happening from time to time.
After a while I got an "error 17" from grub though, and was forced to do this new install.

Any ideas what might be causing this? And how to resolve it? Wink

I'm getting the same issue. Did you find a resolution?
