Maybe because the zip file is Gotham specific? Which version of xmbc do you have?

Regards,
Germán

PS: For those unaware, I've put a hacked zip file in this post

It's OK, i have it working now.
I'd been using DBMC to copy the zip file over without success, as soon as I copied it directly to the root of my pen drive on raspbmc it installed fine.
Many thanks for fixing itSmile

Thanks for making the fix German! Vimeo is a "must have" on my system.

German you rock - I'm so happy to have Vimeo working inside XBMC! As I'm total newb when it comes to xbmc I'm sure I wouldn't figured out a fix myself.

Sorry for disappearing.

I've copied GermanG's code up to github for posterity and future hacking.

I'm noting that there are too many github respositories with the vimeo plugin (including mine), mainly because the is no activity from the original creator maintainer, can any of all the latest posters volunteer as a maintanter of a fork/branch and all the others just ask him/her pull requests? At least until de author shows up and takes over his/her project.

Just an idea/proposal to counter the github vimeo plugin proliferation.

Regards.

I had no account on these forums but I created one on purpose to T H A N K Y O U for fixing this addon, as, given the usual high quality of the videos on Vimeo, it was a shame not to be able to see them on a large screen.

Great, thank you, working here with XBMC 13.2 on Debian.
Marked as broken in the add-on list but still works sweet.

Just remove the line <broken>Plugin broken due to website changes.</broken> in addon.xml Smile

This patched version should get added to xbmc official repo

Also, I like the collab idea behind github but all too often it seems that the fragmentation of work on addons is compounded by the fact that people keep making githubs for the same addon rather than branching off it - githubs main quality only works if people abide by it really - not a moan, just an observation of unfortunate events. Makes me wish githb could find a way to alter things so that when someone goes to create a new github for addon eg vimeo, when githubs already exist - it would be cool if github ran a search to highlight any github projects with eg vimeo in the title - could prevent many instances of the same goal appearing.

Thanks for editing and repairing the addon! Vimeo is simply the best video community.
I'm asking myself if only I've got the problem with HD videos, cause vimeo serves me only with HD (720p) videos by moviemakers with a premium-vimeo account. All videos uploaded by free vimeo users are streamed in SD even if the video is uploaded and viewable on vimeo.com in HD. Is there any failure or does vimeo serverside only stream for the paying clients in HD?
