I have a setup with 6 AV zones(actually rooms) and 3 XBMC-live nvidia ion boxes. HDMI is routed via Opticis 6x6 matrix.
In general everything works fine, but there is one major problem: when sound stream is interrupted(e.g. I switch audio tracks, or fast-forward a movie) the router acts like if I disconnect the HDMI cable for a moment.
When I connect a XBMC box directly to AV receiver everything works fine.
Also, everything is fine when switch tracks or fast forward a movie on Yamaha BD player, connected to the router.
I guess it can be a minor bug in implementation of HDMI in linux/nvidia driver(I'm not a big specialist in this, so it's probably absolutely wrong) which is ignored by usual consumer devices and not ignored by the router?
Maybe somebody have an experience with similar setup?
P.S. In several hours I'll check with Gefen HDMI matrix and will post the results here as well.
