[MOD] Stock Quote Box

I keep making small incremental custom changes to my slideshow.xml which is where my xbmc lives 99% of the time shuffleing music and showing slides. Here is my 9.11 specific mod to bring up a little stock index quote box (thanks finance.google.com) so I don't have to drag my lazy ass off the couch to see how much money I lost today. The quirky python code to this little widget is pretty specific to me, but yours if you want it.

I put it in the lower right, right above my photo captions.

Could you explain how to install this great mod step by step?
Just simply running this *.py in the file manager doesnt work.
I am using atv2 and frodo.
