Nice work.... some glitches scattered around, but for the first release (as far as I can tell, it's a great start!).
glitches I've seen.... - Some of the views are not available (movie views in my instance) even when enabled in the settings. A restart of XBMC fixed this issue (partially). - Setting custom backdrop folders for the homescreen (choosing a folder for multiple backdrops) didn't work. - Backdrop transition in the home screen (when moving between menu items) is possibly too instant... there doesn't appear to be a transition effect. It's a matter of taste but feels less 'fluid' Positives.... Nice improvements on the making options available in the menu within views (e.g. DVD case on/off) Nice addons integration in the setting menu Quite a nice font in the home menu (not sure if I prefer the original Aeon or not, I will get used to it!).. but it's definitely nice. Nice 'advice' given in the settings options when a user chooses something that can slow down navigation. Nice that it can be updated via addon menu (no need for Git / SVN!!!) Once again, very good work.... Keep it up ;-) |

Agreed - nice work! - custom backdrops - I was eventually able to get this to work, I forget exactly how. There seem to be 2 settings for this - the familiar one when you press up/down to select a single image, or a folder, AND a menu entry where you choose if you want to use images from the library. I'll check my settings tonite, but it definitely is working for me now. - Kiosk Mode - I would LOVE to see a kiosk mode like Showmix had - when it's on you get NO side menu when browsing movies/tv shows. For my 'users' (wife and parents who visit) the side menu is confusing. The 'hack' I use fixes it, but it also disables the 'press up to view trailer' functionality. Overall though it's very snappy and seems stable.

boykster Wrote:Agreed - nice work! Yeah I saw those settings, sounds like one is overriding / complementing the other... seems like four possible states between the two options, so I will figure it... quite possibly it just needs documenting or place the two settings next to each other to make it clearer in some way... Agree with Kiosk mode.... it's too easy in XBMC for kids to 'have a play' and break views etc |

Hi guyz,
Really nice Mod! I am on the verge of leaving the Night skin, cause of that one... @boykster if you are home, could you check your settings, it seems I am unable to found how to customize the main menu backdrop... I have tried every options without luck. Thanks! |

Hello everyone.
On the background to the main menu just check here and you can not really change. I focused on this skin themes and I forgot the part of customization. I will correct and will soon be receiving the update automatically by the repository. On the favorites, I'm waiting for a plugin that works really well, so can I include the function in the skin. I appreciate the comments of all. |

It's always nice to see new Releases. btw, I would also like a larger font available (as an option). Regards, Ubuntuf4n |

lucanoid Wrote:Hi guyz, I'll have to check tonite - I'm at work and can't look at the settings in the UI and looking at my guisettings.xml file its not obvious. I know I messed around with it a LOT before it started working, and honestly it wasn't obvious. I do know that I set the backdrop size to 720p (among other changes) just before it 'worked'. Again, great skin considering it's a first release....I have one machine running this one for testing, and my other box running Aeon65....both excellent! |

Thanks Boykster, this was indeed the 1080/720 toggle that did it!
Another question (maybe dumb) how do you use the "shows" shortcut on the main screen? I would be happy to set a few files I have as such, but I can't find any such category when I set a source. Thanks again. |

New version in repository:
Changelog version 2.0.6 Correction - Customization of background to the main menu. After installing the update restart XBMC for changes to take effect. Ps. Only you can change the background images for movies, tvshows and shows if not turned the option to use background images of his own collection. Appreciate the feedback.
