You're probably better off returning it if you want something that runs XBMC. It may never run on that box.

If you want an appletv you'll need:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB189L...TA4Mjc0MzM and if you want to do HD on it you'll need: http://www.logicsupply.com/products/bcm970015 or http://www.logicsupply.com/products/bcm970012 I think the 70015 is recommended now |

Hi ,
I'm no developper but porting something such as XBMC on the ARM apple TV could take years IMO ... You'd better get a beagle or pandaboard or even the Smarttop from genesiUSA. Not as cheap as appleTV though.. |

I may be mistaken and things may have changed since last time I looked at this, but whilst you can jailbreak the new atv now, there is very few apps for it and there was no media apps when i last checked. xbmcBoxes.com - The definitive source for xbmc hardware configuration and setup info Shuttle XS35GT Build and Review www.paulrae.com - my blog with lots of useful xbmc and htpc related articles How to enable debug logging and post a debug log How to post about a problem in a useful manner to get better help Debug file location I run XBMC on a selection of ION based xbmc appliances and a atv, all being feed by a opensolaris based NAS using zfs (8*1.5tb, 8 *1tb, 4*400gb). |
