Hi all, i am new to Linux (man have i read that alot the last few days! lol) anyway i am here to present a problem that seems actually pretty small but haven't the faintest idea where to begin...so here goes!
I just started using Ubuntu 10.04 2days ago (feels so natural) and I also have the MOTO droid/milestone running a great program (in two parts) called mkremote which turns my droid into an actual keypad and mouse via Bluetooth or wi-fi, the second half runs on the PC and is a .jar file Ive figured how to get it to load at startup with Ubuntu and runs perfect.... now i am about to make my htpc and want this .jar file to run with xbmc, it(the .jar file)requires a desktop to run in the system tray, can anyone please give me a tut on how to accomplish this and still maintain the feel of the xbmc set-top box? basicly i want the boot order be, xbmc>desktop>mkremote.jar (yes i know i need java installed and i know the command to get it installed)
