I have just bought a SilverStone LC13-E Case

I'm wanting to take this project slow as this is my first time building my own pc from scratch but from all the things i've taken in and out of computers i have a fair idea of what's going on....

My gaming PC now has extra dvd drives, HDD's, I have a couple GB's of DDR3 ram sitting around, For the time been till i get some more money together i will attempt to throw in my 9800 GX2 GPU in it also....

I am having trouble choosing a motherboard, I'm willing to spend about $200 on a motherboard, I want this thing to be FAST!!!, I also want to be able to throw more and more stuff into this HTPC, I want to go the whole way with it, TV tuners, Good GPU Blu-Ray burner, Remote, Card reader, I also want to be able to play games like GTA IV with it, Can someone help me?, I'm lost, I know about GPU's, Ram, CPU's, Hdd's and what not, But i've never overly known anything about what makes a motherboard a good motherboard?
