I have tried a raw file from this minicamcorder
Those are the mediainfo for the video
Video
ID : 1
Format : AVC
Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec
Format profile : [email protected]
Format settings, CABAC : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames : 4 frames
Codec ID : avc1
Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding
Duration : 34s 634ms
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 0
Maximum bit rate : 0
Width : 1 440 pixels
Height : 1 080 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate mode : Constant
Frame rate : 29.970 fps
Resolution : 8 bits
Colorimetry : 4:2:0
Scan type : Progressive

So it is a Main profile at L4 with PAR 4:3
The AppleTv with Crystal seems to play it fine

The same device can also produce a 720p@60fps where mediainfo only reports AVC 1280x720 with variable frame rate
This format drops frames and does seem scatty though both files are 12Mb/s

Should I use the camcorder with the 1080p format?
