[WIP] Basic - a new skin in the works for XBMC

Looks fantastic. I think your needs are pretty much similar to mine on the iPad. Just clean, basic skin for video and movies.

Well, I planned on continuing working on the skin with psike but I guess he got busy and I haven't seen him since we last talked about moving forward with it. Though even if we had continued working on it I would have had to stop since I've been working on a lot of projects as of late.

At any rate, I'm releasing what we had done so far. It's still pretty rough but a lot of the core stuff is done. You are welcome to continue it here or do whatever you want with it, if you'd also like me to upload the PSD (which has stuff designed that hasn't been added to it yet), I can upload that as well.

With the amount of time and work these take to finish it's no surprise to me that only a few good skins end up being completed.

Yeah, we put around 4 months into it but I nor him really have the time to finish it anytime soon so I figured the best thing to do was just release what we had done on the offshoot someone might want to finish it or rework it for themselves.

For the most part a lot of the major things are done (Home Section, 2 views in TV, 2 views in Movies, Volume/Mute, OSD & settings screens, and Settings is partially). So, its a pretty good base to start from.

Thanks for releasing this, I had a play around with it today and its totally usable. Everything thats been coded looks great.

Any chance you could re-upload this, megaupload is no more? I'd like to have a poke around and see what needs finishing with a view to getting it fixed up.
