My xbox started acting up today and I got the error code 07. I googled it and followed the instructions: I checked if ide cables were loose, changed them, I also tried all the different hard disk jumper options but no luck. As I was trying to boot up the system for the millionth time, the xbox for some reason booted to avalaunch.
I bough my xbox premodded, so I'm kinda newbie with this. Still, from avalaunch I launched boxplorer which was able to load up old build of xbmc on the e drive. While in the old build I tried to update to the newest one with the tech updater script but in the middle of downloading the xbox froze. And now at the moment the xbox only boots up to avalaunch but freezes on the avalaunch main screen after a couple of seconds. I think the hard drive is making strange noises, do you guys think it's just the hard drive going bad?
