When XBMC scrapes for info, it saves the data for that movie in the XBMC database. Is there a way to (also) let XBMC save that data inside the folder where the movies are? This would make it a lot easier for me to (later) transfer movies to a different XBMC installation. I know I can make a backup of the database, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Export database using separate file option does exactly that.

My problem is that all my movies are in seperate folders. So I need to move them all inside one folder then? I like to put them in folders since that allows me to give the folder a proper name, while keeping the movie/internet name for downloading subs etc

No, it will export the nfo and images into the folder that contains the movie. So you will have the movie, subs, nfo, images in the same folder.
