Try deleting crunchycookie.lwp from /userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.crunchyroll/ and see if that makes a difference. If it still does it I can try looking into it, but I'm not a premium member so debugging these sorts of things is difficult.

That solved the problem! Cheers! But I am sort of curious why restarting XBMC for example did not trigger the creation of a new cookie on its own...

I'm running this on an ATV2 (using the Jan 29 unofficial build, will update to Feb 1 tonight) and I've been able to install 2.1.1 without any problem, but I can't seem to get the videos to play. I can see the files list populate but that's about it. I've included what appears to be the relevant part of the log, it looks like the plugin dies for some reason.

First off, thank you so much for your (as you put it) proof of concept for Plex Media server plug in. It's exactly what i was looking for - streaming a non-local media library from a mac iTunes on the local network. I had tried smb sharing from the mac to the windows 7 htpc but I really like having iTunes on my mac handle all the media, tagging, artwork, etc.

i installed it on both my atv2 and regular htpc running windows 7 (core 2 duo 2.2ghz 4 gigs ram etc)

it actually runs quite well on the atv2, no hiccups and tracks start a few seconds after buffering...

what doesn't work as well is the win7 htpc... the process of skipping songs or starting a new song, there is a 30 pause of the start of the song, in what i think is a buffering of the song.... i've attached my .log for the windows7 machine... thanks for the work!

Crunchyroll just broke for me:

The only problem is that they work around the problem by contacting a server running older Adobe software. Afaik I can't use an 'older' CR server...

Am I the only one who noticed this?

Edit: there is a patch to include a newer librtmp in XBMC here: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/8971 - but if I read this correctly, its not in the current release. It does sort of explain the version warnings if the old library hasn't been maintained in years...

hey I just installed this plugin it works awesome for displaying the crunchy roll content.
I recently joined crunchy rolls premium site to try out their new android app. So I have access to the 720p streams, but 720p is not working in your plugin just wondering if you can look into this, that would be awesome I'd be willing to help out with any information you need to make this plugin better too thanks. 480p does work though.

Also on the series bleach and naruto I get weird subtitles the other shows seem fine I tried changing xbmcs subtitle settings but it didn't fix it.
I've thought about downloading boxee cause I read theres support for it. But, I really like xbmc and its what I use for watching all my shows it would be an inconvenience to switch to another app. I really do believe it plays videos the best as well.

I have the same problem but I suppose the fonts are a result from the subtitle files (they probably require a font which linux normally does not have).

I don't have a premium account, so I can't really make fixes to the 720p content. It did work awhile back, but I think Crunchyroll made a switch to how their playlists are formatted and it may have broken the HD versions.

As for the handshake error, there's really nothing I can do about that. It seems many CDNs recently upgraded their Flash Media Server software, which caused an updated version of the rtmpe protocol to be implemented. This is something that's handled by XBMC/libRTMP, not my plugin, so it's really out of my control. It's affecting a lot of other plugins as well (BlueCop's plugins in specific) and it sucks.

I've noticed the weird font thing as well... I'd have to look at the decrypted subtitles to figure out what font it's looking for.

Wondering if you guys might be able to help me troubleshoot. I was able to install the add-on, added the other items as required and am able to look around in crunchyroll but unable to play any videos (not premium).
