HDHomerun is a very popular tuner, especially since it is network based you can use it on any PC on your network... ideal candidate for XBMC.

Yeah, but for HDHomerun to work with TVHeadend you need to compile a kernel driver and an userspace app.
Not that that's that much of a problem (3 "thats"? Really?), but I guess users new to linux should include that in their consideration... |

If you are looking for just a simple DVB-T tuner for freeview then I'd recommend something like the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T USB (you can easily move it between machines then) It works brilliantly with Linux straight out of the box no messing with extra drivers, and really simple to setup with TvHeadend, it can be had for around £25 new, so doesn't break the bank either! |

I'm using a Tevii s470 PCI Express DVB-S/S2 card and I'm very happy with it. But I don't know your setup...

Is there already any progress on the PVR-Support of Alaska? Would be great if this skin would be suitable!

Couldn't someone with good skiningskills make a MOD for the PVR part. It would be lovely.. Now I have to shange from Alaska Revisited to Confluence everytime I have to watch TV.
