No one yet 'hacked' some un-elegant solution for this?
Would just placing the PVR-files of for example Confluence and editing the Home of Alaska work or is much more work needed? This would give us the nice Alaska gui, but when going in Live-TV it would switch to confluence. I must honestly say i have no idea how the skinning engine works and if this is even possible. Maybe later when i have more time i would look into this. HTPC + Mediaserver E8400 - ABIT I-N73HD - 2GB DDR2 - 3.5TB - Geforce G210 - ANTEC FUSION V2 - Ubuntu 10.04 - XBMC-PVR TV-Server Ubuntu 10.04 - Tvheadend - Smargo Reader - Oscam Card Server - 2x PCI DVB-C |

Any news on this? Would also be very interested in getting PVR support. Had to go back to Confluence, which is a rather drab experience after checking out Alaska...

I did look into getting a HDHomerun device but they're about £100 so I just forgot about it.

Hey guys,
I am very new to the XBMC (sorry, but most of the skins are not my type) because I saw this skin and I totally fell in love with it. Now I set up everything and I am using the pvr build, because I want an all-in-one solution. I read that Hitcher can't provide a pvr-option since he doesn't have the hardware for it. But I also read that some people offered their help. So I want to know if anyone is out there having a self-built Alaska build with PVR support? You don't have to support it Hitcher but I really need the Live TV option and switching themes all the time is quite annoying. So is there anyone out there who can provide a build with pvr support? It doesn't even have to look as nice as the whole skin is, I just need the TV option. ![]() Thanks in advance and keep up the good work, you made me love XBMC!

It's not a case me not supporting it; it's simply a case of I can't support it without any PVR equipment.
Having said that I've had a few kind offers so stay tuned. ![]() |
