Noob question
#1
I just bought Apple TV 2nd Generation. I have read the installation instructions for XBMC which seem straightforward. My question is, given that the Apple TV 2G has a micro USB connector, is the installation method the same? From USB key. If so, where do I get a regular USB to micro USB adaptor? Am I going down the right road here?

Thanks and please forgive, if this question is stupid or should be somewhere else.

Knowing apple you probably have to buy a special adapter for £100 directly from them :p Otherwise you can pick them up at any online computer shop for not much.

I don't think you can install XBMC on a 2nd gen Apple TV, though I hear mutterings that it's being looked at.

You certainly can't install XBMC on 2nd gen iTV.

Different architecture, different OS.

It's using ARM and iOS4 I believe. It will have to be jail-broken.

There is a public jailbreak available, and Davilla and others are looking at solutions, but since it has to run on iOS4, it may be a while.
