Is it possible to backup my current XBMC settings:
Skin Settings
Sources
Prefrences
ect ect
I do not need the database just the configuration

For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you
read this first (usually it's enough to follow instructions in the second post).

Press Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:
%appdata%\xbmc
and click OK. In the Window that opens you should see a folder called userdata. All your settings are stored in this folder. Copy it somewhere safe to back up your settings. Copying the folder will also back up your database. If you don't want the database you can omit the userdata\database folder, but it's probably easier to just back up the lot.

no problem, actually jhsrennie was wiser than me suggesting the %appdata% approach, I inquired about your OS only to point you to the right directory, but I forgot about the system variable.
