Core audio stream extraction
#1
I'm finally making the jump from the original Xbox XBMC to a shiny new Win7 HTPC so I can start ripping my Blu-rays and put the discs away.

I know that the main XBMC branch doesn't yet bitstream the HD audio stream, but will it automatically extract and bitstream the core audio stream? Or, will I need to extract the core myself when ripping the disc and mux it into the .mkv?

Thanks

It will use the core stream in a DTS-HD Soundtrack and convert to PCM with a Dolby True HD track. - No need to convert if you want to retain for when XBMC does bitstream HD Audio.
