Adding Home Shortcut

Hi, I am having trouble adding my downloads folder to home. I set it as favorite went to skin settings, added custom, pointed it to "downloads" fav...and now whenever i click on i I get blank window, have to go to left menu and click go to root, then click downloads and then my stuff in there shows up...any ideas??

i've seen several similar reports lately.
while it does work on my end (linux), it looks like the windows version of xbmc
has some issues when adding folders to favourites.

you can fix things by manually editting favourites.xml in your userdata folder.

is it possible to add background to Home Shortcut?

for exemple I have a "Youtube" button in my home but I would like to add a Youtube logo background.

nevermid I found it...... in Includes_Home.xml

Custom1,Custom2,Custom3 all have settings.jpg as background

You need to edit those..... I wish it would be easier
