So this afternoon i unplugged my MCE remote receiver ehome smk from my lucid ubuntu xbmc setup that was in suspended mode and now the receiver won't stop flashing and doesn't respond to the remote.

Weird?

I've tried plugging in the reciever to another lucid box same result, when i plugged it into my mac it stopped.
When i opened my virtual XP image and mapped it the device was detect, not installed and it also stopped.

When i press the buttons on the remote the light comes on as normal.

When i plug it back into the linux boxes....flashes and doesn't respond.

Can someone explain how this happens?

I haven't set it up in Windows because i don't know how...windows n00b

Any help would be great, this is a great receiver.

got it going again.

downloaded ir transmit server from media portal forum, uninstalled the driver then reboot.

Installed rollup 5 update 2 for windows, rebooted.

Receiver is now working in windows and plugged back into linux and shes good to go.
