Hi Ronie,

I can't find where the movie studio logos are now stored in Transparency 3.10.
I used to add those who where missing for my movies(mainly french studios or independant US studios) but now, I can't find a relevant place. Would you be kind enough to help me ?

Serge.

there's two ways:

1) the good way...post/upload any missing studio icons and i'll include them.

2) the bad way...create this folder structure: skin.transparency/media/flags/movies/studio and store the missing icons there.

obviously i prefer method 1, so the rest of the xbmc users can benefit from it as well....and as a bonus, you don't have to mod the skin anymore on each update. :-)

Hi Ronie,

Thank you for the answer.
Unfortunately, it looks like I'm not allowed to post attachments (??)

The only thing that I can do is to send you the list of "my" missing studios and the links where I found the logos. Not sure it can help you.

Will putting the flags as suggested in method 2 containing textures.xpr do the trick of replacing missing studio icons? Transparency has textures.xbt. Whats the difference between xpr and xbt? Awaiting your reply..

sorry, don't get what you mean?

Textures.xpr is not used anymore, it's been replaced by Textures.xbt.
xpr was the old way of packing the images...xbt is the new way.

that's why there's so many file sharing sites. ;-)

added your icons to the T! svn.
they will be included in the next stable version.

1.reFocus has textures.xpr. i tried ur 2nd method of putting the studio flags as u said before, but it didn't work. It worked with your skin. reFocus has provisions for studio flags. Should I take the matter with Jeroen?

2. Any tutorials / software for making studio logos...?

short tutorial :
Halibutt Wrote:It's simple.
  1. Find the logo (preferably in some vector format)
  2. Open the logo file with Gimp, PS or any other decent program
  3. Resize the logo so that it doesn't exceed 82x125 pixels (it could be 82 pixels high and 20 pixels wide or 80 pixels high and 120 wide, doesn't actually matter as long as the dimensions do not exceed 82x125)
  4. Paste the resized file onto a clean, transparent file 109x161 (height x width); you could use any of the existing files, Ctrl+A, Delete the contents and paste a new logo.
  5. Save, upload to FF's site and voila
