I'm testing out the Ubuntu PPA of Dharma-beta4 35068 and have noticed an annoying problem with the rewind. RWx2 rewinds at about ~15x rather than 2x. Fast forward goes at the expected speed.
I've tried changing the render method and disabling VDPAU, but it didn't help. I'm experiencing this on two different computers, so it's probably not hardware-related. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Can't see how I could submit a debug log for this problem

ticket 5462 seems to be sort of related to this, but there's not a lot of info. A log has been provided but that's it. Can someone from the team let me know if I should raise another ticket?

Does anyone else experience that RWx1 is faster backward than FFx1 is forward?

Rewind goes blisteringly fast, when it should only be moving at 2x. Did you open a ticket for this?
Running XBMC 10.0 on Windows 7.

Is there still no way to fix this besides changing rewind to time stepping? I know some people blame this on the codecs of the videos and that there is nothing XBMC can do, but when I play the same videos on a WDTV it does not face the same issue and rewinds at a speed more appropriate to 2x, 4x, etc.

Are you saying this is a problem on Gotham? If so post another ticket. If not, it won't be fixed in old versions.

Yes, this is still a problem with Gotham beta 3. The last ticket I referenced already has Gotham appended to its version. Not sure opening another ticket would do any good.

Sorry I thought I'd looked at all the tickets you pointed to, but must've missed the last one. Looks like the explanation is in the ticket comments though (eluplus comment) . Also seems not many people use rewind, and prefer skip. Therefore not much developer incentive to fix it.

I tried to give this issue one last push for Gotham, but it's very low on everyone's list ;)
I'm sure it will eventually be taken care of, likely as a part of some other clean up or rework, but for the time being it will be a known issue.
