Today I figured, it's time to move from xbmc live installed to hdd to a full ubuntu with xbmc setup. And DRAMA - I don't get hdmi audio passthrough to work.
I used ubuntu 10.10 maverick and installed xbmc through apt. I installed the nvidia drivers ubuntu offerd me.
I followed lots of guides, uninstalled pulse and I am pretty sure I screwed it up now, anyway.. Well, I can always install again, but it makes no sense to me, if I don't know how to get hdmi audio working beforehand.
Can anyone point me out how to get it working? - It always worked perfectly fine and out of the box with xbmc live.
I can not watch movies anymore - any help is greatly appreciated!
