Post a
debug log (wiki) so we can see if the advancedsettings.xml file loaded correctly.

Ah, yes, you have to actually copy them to the NFS share for it to work.

Database providers? A MySQL setup is really only meant to be used via a local network. Using it via an internet server will make it really slow to load.

For those who don't know (and if it's been mentioned, sorry), you can also create symlinks to files, not just directories. My keymap, advanced settings, etc files are also stored on the server and a symlink on each client points to them. If I want to change something in the keymap or advanced settings I just do it on the server copy and every client reflects the change.
Just FYI.

Why isn't filename and path the same?

Is it possible to use a shared MYSQL for just music and video but not the PVR aspect (unless that would work). I want to use a few NUC's with XBMC talking back to a MCE via the plugin as PVR clients but I dont want it causing odd behaviour with recording etc.

MySQL only does video and music DB's anyway. Nothing to do with Pvr.

Actually, you can share the PVR DB over MySQL as well, but I don't think it's currently documented on the wiki. It won't use MySQL unless you specifically add a PVR entry in advancedsettings.xml

I have 4 computers 2 PC 1 OUYA and 1 MAC. I can share mydatabase between the OUYA and PC fine but the MAC can see the movies/TVShows in the database but when i try to play something it says file not in library. any idea why. If i browse for the files i can find them and play them just fine
