Requesting a plugin for the FilmOn website
http://www.filmon.com
This has quite a few channels from the UK,US, and Europe, + some in HD.
and is not geo-ip blocked.
The channels are good ones as well i.e Sky-News, BBC 1-4, Itv, Cnn, + some smut...
The main website asks you to download a player, however there is a iphone (mobile)version of the site which does not require any app.
I managed to sniff the url of skynews while it was playing in the app and I put it into a *.strm file and it played the stream without problems on the xbox.
It was just a normal rtmp stream
Unfortunately I have no idea to code it myself...

Sky News rtsp://69.55.53.35/live99/99.stream Film4 rtsp://69.55.52.223/live13/13.stream Itv1 rtsp://69.55.52.223/live11/11.stream Bbc1 rtsp://69.55.52.223/live14/14.stream to give you a few of the many... These also play in VLC on the PC Make a .txt file and put the stream url in it and then rename it *.strm These are actually mobile streams, but better than nothing.... They will not last long, which is why a plugin that could scrape them every time it loads would be nice.... *edit* I just tried those urls and I could'nt get them to play in xbmc, like i did before (my xbmc build has changed though). However they do play in VLC

Hey,
Any movement on this? I use the iPad app regularly and they offer a lot of high quality channels for free, and it's very reliable. I did try airplaying it to my xbmc but xbmc was a tad unstable, so a native plugin would be great. I might ask iron bill if he would implamnt this into navix as they seem to be in the middle of an upgrade at the moment, i think there looking at adding ice films too... I'll see what they say and report back. Pat~ |

Hey Guys,
FilmON contains TV channels in great quality without any territorial restriction (BBC, Channel4, ITV, RAI etc..). Would be great to have an add for this. Is anybody interested to create one? |
