Version 2.0.8 : This new version of Advanced Launcher is again for fixing some minor bugs occuring for non-standard actions like : accessing an empty files launchers, accessing a non existing file, folder or category.

Hi, It's me again. Sorry for all the trouble but I'm not able so save states with Zsnes only when I launch the rom using advance launcher. Has anybody encountered this problem?
It says "unable to save" but when I launch the Rom using the app it saves normally. Any ideia why this happens?

Apologize for the delay in catching this, but have been out of town for a while.
Ever since version 2.05 all of my launchers have been generating an "Error Script failed: Addon.py" message box.
Ver. 2.05 - this error comes up when starting a launcher and the launcher won't start the application.
All versions from 2.06 on the launchers start the application but when closed the error message pops up.
In ver 2.04 everything is fine.
Let me know if you need any more info. All launchers start .exe directly or start an autoit .exe.

Ok, here's a log file with three error incidents. The first two are under ver. 2.06 and then 2.08 where the error pops up AFTER the launched program has been run and closed.
The third is ver. 2.05 in which the error pops up and the launched program never runs. Let me know if you need something else and thanks.

The first two are under ver. 2.06 and then 2.08 where the error pops up AFTER the launched program has been run and closed.Ok... the problem is linked to a compatibility problem between your old version of XBMC (11.0-PRE Git:20120302-7885010) and the recent Advanced launcher update concerning XBMC AudioEngine. I will try to fix this during this week-end to make Advanced Launcher again compatible with old versions of XBMC. On the other hand, if you still want to use Eden version of XBMC, I strongly suggest you to use a stable version of the software and not a deprecated PRE version.
The third is ver. 2.05 in which the error pops up and the launched program never runs. Let me know if you need something else and thanks.

Thanks for the info. My original install was done by someone else and as it's been pretty stable so far I've not upgraded. I"ve considered moving to Frodo but ran into some issues on a test install I did a while ago but should probably try again. Please don't go to lots of trouble on this. I'll test an upgrade to the latest Eden and see if that fixes. If not, I'll look into Frodo again. It's not a major issue, more of an irritation, and I can always back-rev until I get a later version working. Thanks again.

Ever since version 2.05 all of my launchers have been generating an "Error Script failed: Addon.py" message box.
Ver. 2.05 - this error comes up when starting a launcher and the launcher won't start the application.
All versions from 2.06 on the launchers start the application but when closed the error message pops up.
In ver 2.04 everything is fine.
Let me know if you need any more info. All launchers start .exe directly or start an autoit .exe.

could someone please help me. i just installed fusion (http://fusion.xbmchub.com/) and now when i try to make a stand alone executable launcher i cant see my directories. it goes directly to fusion. what am i doing wrong? thanks

- If you start ZSNES by clicking the app, the working directory will be the ZSNES directory... so there will be no problem. Save files will be saved into /ZSNES/saves directory.
- If you start ZSNES from XBMC/Advanced Launcher, in this case the working directory will be the XBMC directory... and so we have a problem because the /XBMC/saves directory do not exist... and so ZSNES will return you an error.

Try to start Advanced Launcher, go into context menu ("C" key) and select "Manage sources". Do you see your directories list? If not, add the root directories containing your stuff as sources.

I don't believe this is necessarily an Advanced Launcher issue, but that is where it happens so...
When I use AL to open Firefox, it opens using only the left half of the screen with no option to further maximize it or otherwise drag or enlarge it to fill the entire screen.
Any suggestions?

Try going to start menu find firefox, right click properties, then choose maximize when opened
I should mention I'm running Xbmcbuntu with Firefox installed via apt-get.
