Is the poster size for viewtypes relative to the skin in files or is there a way to change it in advanced launcher? Reason why I ask is because aeon mq3 makes my snes artwork poster size instead of landscape.

Would love to set this up on my Win7 xbmc. Does anyone have an good wireless joystick recommendations? Are the cheapo ones on ebay good enough? Thanks!

The display is only managed by skins but not all the skins display correctly all the Advanced Launcher information (data, thumbs, fanart). So you will have to ask Aeon MQ3 skinners to add this view.

I'm not sure what you'd consider "cheap", but i've been using a xbox 360 wireless controller with the MS receiver, and it works fantastically...costs about $50 for both the controller and the receiver put together:

First I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, and running XBMC Eden.

I've been playing with this to attempt to get steam apps to launch through XBMC with a batch file. So far I've been unable to get these scripts to work in anyway. At first I thought, maybe I'm just doing something wrong with the scripts, but after playing with other options I haven't been able to launch -anything- through steam with a batch file.

Just making a batch file to attempt to launch a steam game doesn't work either. I'll be posting on the steam forums for assistance too, but figured I'd ask if anyone else had experience with it here. I've attempted the following methods of launching a steam game, all of which just give an error and the batch file does nothing. This leads me to believe this is something wrong completely outside of XBMC.

Code:

start steam://run/48000

start steam://rungameid/48000

start "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 48000

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I have my ehshell.exe modded to start xbmc with my Green Button on my Gyration Remote and the original WMC ehshell is renamed to ehshell2.exe....

I want to be able Launch with Launcher straight to ehshell2.exe(WMC) but into Netflix.

Can this be done by just adding the parameters of {e6f46126-f8a9-4a97-9159-b70b07890112}\{982ea9d3-915c-4713-a3c8-99a4688b7c59} to script that links to "ehshell2.exe" instead of the "ehshell.exe"?

For what I have read on Internet you just have to create a .bat file (like netflix.bat):

Then create a stand alone launcher pointing to this .bat file and leave arguments as blank. It must do the job.

I keep having problems using a XBOX 360 controller. When I launch a PC game using the XBOX controller XBMC minimizes and the game launcher, but it seems the focus of the XBOX controller stays on XBMC.
When I push any button in the game in launched the button also gets pressed in XBMC. So when i press the "A" button on the controller XBMC also recognises it and tries to launch the game again.

Anyone knows how to solve this?

You can create a small script launcher (.bat or autoscript) that will suspend XBMC before starting your PC game and that will resume XBMC when the PC game will be closed. You will found some example of such script here : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5
