So I just used the Oblytile method you linked, but I'm getting the same issue. The error reads as follows:

Quote:Whoops, something went wrong...
System Configuration Error

There is a problem with this system's configuration that prevents Windows from playing protected video. Please make sure you have the latest Windows Updates as well as Windows 8 certified video and audio drivers installed.

Error code: W8156-88890001

I've again confirmed that running the metro Netflix app on it's own plays videos just fine. It's only when I load it through XBMC and Advanced launcher that the error appears.

Any other thoughts? Thanks!
Do you have the same problem with other application or it happen only with the Netflix one?

I just tried it with the Hulu Channel as well, and it gave an error "The video failed to play." Same deal where Hulu on it's own works, but through XBMC has an error. I'm stumped! Any other thoughts on how I could fix it?
AL is a fantastic addon, but i'm having problems with pssuspend command, so i prefer pskill for launch emus, the thing is..... Is there any way to come back to the last position after start xbmc? What i need is, when the script start xmbc after close the emu, xbmc start on the last rom opened inside AL. Is it possible? Thanks in advance :-)
I use a jsonr-rpc command to return to the emulation section of AL after killing xbmc. Probably is possible to return to the same emulator with some scripting, but I dont know about selecting the last opened rom.

Thanks a lot, that work for now, sadly, im null in programming, so i have no complaine. I use bat files because im scared when i hear autoit or ahk words.
I can imagine that the tricks would be after "start /max XBMC.exe" command, but like i said, im null

@jmode

What kind of updates are you talking about?
I don't know heheh, any kind of improve he could make.
Mmmm, maybe the posibility of select what addon or windows resume (not just video and audio). Anyway, avanced launcher (with its flaws) and xbmc resume, made me happy finally.
@bakito nice, thanks for pointing that out.

Currently I have my XBMC setup so that the default play action is to "show info" and from there I select play. Many skins support this however it doesn't work with advanced launcher. Is there a way to setup (or edit some files) so that when pressing a game from advanced launcher (I'm mainly using this for emulators) it would take me to the "info" screen? And from there I would select "Launch" to start the game? And also, I noticed that pressing in a certain direction in advanced launcher brings up the info screen. For my personal setup this is especially awkward as it goes against the control scheme for the rest of my media center. Is it possible to remap this action to the "i" key like the rest of xbmc? Haha basically I would like to be able to have the info dialogue show up when pressing "enter" on a game (files launcher, emulators) as well as when pressing "i". It would make the control scheme across my xbmc much more consistant haha. Thanks!

That's a skin feature. Advanced Launcher only provide content information to XBMC. Displays and navigations are managed by skins. So, if you want this feature for Advanced Launcher, and more generally for Program addons, ask skin makers to add it. For example, Cirrus Extended v2 skin was including this feature.
Oh okay, thanks! Haha actually I was searching through this thread and realized I already asked that! But forgot, so sorry haha. Anyways, I'm also using advanced launcher to launch metro apps. Previously I used this method here detailed here: www.itsjustwhatever.com/downloads/windows-8-metro-app-launchers/ to launch them, however because of the way this method works certain apps would require calling the search function in windows 8 while others don't. However in your wiki you detail a method using the OblyTile program which is great as it can launch any app it seams without calling the search function. However, what was great about the other method was the ability to hit Esc to kill the metro app and return to XBMC. Is there any way to get this behavior with the OblyTile method? Thanks!
First of all I would like to say thanks for such a great addon!

I am trying to import my collection of Genesis roms and when I did so, I found that around 60 of them did not have local artwork associated with them... so I'm going through and manually importing it into the database by right clicking on each file in Advanced Launcher and doing the import process where it slowly scans for the game online then I click which picture best fits. I'm wondering if there was a way to make this process a little quicker? Maybe like a batch half automated online import... ?

I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

There is 3 scraping modes into Advanced Launcher : automatic, semi-automatic and manual. With automatic mode, Advanced Launcher scrap everything what it can using the selected database and the name of the file. Inconvenience of this method is that it is not 100% accuracy. With manual mode, user has to ask separately to scrap data, thumb and fanart. For each step he will have to select the right game from a list and thumb and fanart corresponding the most to i's request. With semi-automatic mode, you have a mix. Advanced Launcher scan everything automatically but ask you to select the right game, and the thumb and fanart you want. I always suggest to use semi-automatic mode instead of the automatic mode.

In your case, it seems that you have used in the first time the automatic mode, and so it was not able to scrap correctly everything (not surprising). Now you will have to modify everything using the manual mode. Actually I only see 2 ways for you to proceed : manually scrap the wrong scrapped games ou deleted the wrong scrapped from Advanced Launcher list and perform a semiautomatic scan. But honestly... it will take you the same amount of time to do both.
