You can create a folder where you put shortcut of all your pc game with the right name, in advanced launcher you put this folder as the rom direction then when it ask you the extention of the rom you put "lnk", then you can scrap the folder with gamedb... It should be ok!

Hey! thanks that helped a lot, but now I keep getting the generic Script Failed addon py! error when I try to scan the folder. I have made sure there is no "_" or any other strange formatting going on. Any ideas? Running the latest Kodi build of XBMC and the latest AL.

I have now tried with the latest Gotham and ALL my scrape attempts are failing. Windows 8.1 .. tried gamefaqs..local..gamedb... what could be causing this? It's not just the PC titles but emulation as well, after 2-3 the scrape fails. Even doing it manually it fails..

I don't understand. There is no differences between online game launchers and "traditional" game, they are all executable files (.exe). They are started exactly the same way and you may not have errors. Please post the content of your launchers.xml file to see how you have set up your online game launchers.

Not really possible. You have actually the possibility with Advanced Launcher to perform a recursive scan at into your PC Games directory to add any .exe files, but how make the difference between launchers, uninstallers, tools et real executable of the games? Also, for example, it will be also difficult to define to wich title game correspond for example the an executable only named game.exe.

The only possibly I see is to create a folder containing all windows shortcuts (.LNK files) of your game executables renamed with the exact name of the game and perform a scan with Advanced Launcher into it. But creating these .LNK files is similar to add them one by one.

So... no... Batch adding is not possible.

They are started exactly the same way and you may not have errors. Please post the content of your launchers.xml file to see how you have set up your online game launchers.

I do not see any kind of setup problem. Please post also the content of the xbmc.log file after the error occurs, so I will know what is going wrong with this specifc executable.

Hello all, I'm having a problem running emulators on my xbmc setup. I have nes ,SNES, and Sega emulators setup with advanced launcher but every time I boot up a game the emulator slows down a bit. In other words, the playback becomes a little choppy. The games are still playable but it's not as smooth as I think it should be. When I run the emulators outside of xbmc on my windows 7 computer the playback is super smooth so I'm thinking it has something to do with xbmc. Anyone else experience this and can offer some suggestions? Thanks.

I was trying to find a pack of icons and fanarts that was uploaded several years ago, it had many transparent png files for each system. I believe this thread was related to it but the repository you posted at the bottom of it comes up as invalid. Please assist if such an icon pack still exists Smile

I do however have one other question, is it possible to rename the Default category? I put all my lnk shortcuts under it but I would love the ability to rename it from Default. Thanks !
