today i scrape 1033 Genesis Roms, only 30 Roms became info, thumbs & fanarts, and IP Blocked(its no problem, i have dinamic IP) and scrapper work only with gamefaq, with gamesdb & allgames i have empty info
but 2 weeks early i scraped more 2000 NES & SNES Roms without blocking and problems - gamefaq, gamesdb, allgames - all was OK
i dont know where problem hidden - in XBMC or Advanced Launcher(i use Openelec XBMC 13.2 Git:0f3db05 Linux 3.16.3 x86_64 and Advanced Launcher 2.5.7)
if in XBMC - its randomly wiped data during rom edition, or error can always been - by playing too?
and i dont know how i acces error, i only add manualy info to roms(context menu - "edit item" - "import infos.....")

if the file name has an ampersand, scraper seeking wrong, probably it must somehow be replaced in the script with "and" or escape

file "Tom & Jerry.nes" - scraper with automatic search produces "Tom Sawyer," but with "Tom and Jerry.nes" result is correct

I'm a bit of a noob and have a few questions. I'm using 13.2 “Gotham” with Aeon MQ 5 as my skin if it matters at all. First how can I close xbmc when I launch a PC game? I don't want to run xbmc in the background since my computer isn't to great (need all the resources possible). I don't care about it relaunching once I've closed the game. Like is there something I can put inside the arguments to close it? Another thing is how do I add extra fan art and trailer to work? I've added the paths in advance modifications. Is there a certain path or naming element to it? I'm able to play the trailer by going to the context menu, but it plays in the background and I have to hit Tab to switch over to it. Would be nice if it just played in a little window. The extra fan art doesn't work at all for me. Last thing is what is the skin Angelscry is using in his screen shots and how does he have a thumb on the right side next to the game cover? Thanks so much in advance.

So you have scraped around 3000 roms data on gamefaq servers. So, that's mean that your computer has continuously send around 10.000 requests to gamefaq servers and now you are surprised that they block your ip adress!? Too greedy. The more pathetic is : At how many games are you really going to play: 10 or 20?

The problem is that emulators version and command line change, and I have actually not anymore the time and the taste to maintain an updated a wiki page of emulator command lines.

it is not for me, I'm doing gaming computer for nephews, 2 boys and 3 girls of different ages, with different tastes, so I decided to make all the games, when the computer will be in their room, removing unwanted games will be easier than adding new

What am I doing wrong: I reinstalled XBMC and Advanced Launcher. I have my old launchers.xml and settings.xml files (and also backup folder) but if I copy launchers.xml to the userdata/addon_data/Advanced Launcher folder it causes script failed error when trying to start Advanced Launcher.
If I go to settings, both import XML and append XML don't seem to work, I just hear click sound but nothing else.
So how do I restore/import my earlier launcher data? I'm using Ubuntu/Linux system with latest XBMC nightly build.
