I'm new to XBMC add-ons (as I'm sure you can tell). I wonder though, if the 2 can work in tandem to create a game library, or if they would be treated as totally separated.
At any rate, I think I'll download both.
PS: Downloaded Advanced Launcher and enjoying it. Sticking with it exclusively due to possibility of genre+console screen, versatility, surprisingly easy to use; No need for RCB. Looking forward to getting the library configed. Thanks again.

Hi all, I hope I am in the right place to ask this, I seem to be going round in circles.
I'm using Advanced Launcher on my Zotac box with OpenElec. I have set it up to look for SNES Roms and it has imported them with covers and fanart just fine.
However, when I attempt to launch a game it does nothing. I am using RetroArch for my emulator, should I be using anything else?

Left 4 Dead 2 is a stand-alone launcher or an item (.lnk)?

Have been trying to get Colin McRae 2005 running via the standalone launcher but does not work. I think because of resolution issues.
Kodi/XBMC is set to run on 720p on my HD ready TV. CMR runs on 1080i in compatibility mode. When I launch it from within Kodi I can see that the TV tries to switch the resolution to 1080i but then gets stuck. The picture returns to Kodi and Kodi wants to use 1080i too (which is sub-optimal). CMR continues to run in the background but I get no picture.
Running Helix Alpha 3 on a Win 8.1 system. I'm using XBMC Launcher to boot into kodi directly.
Any advice appreciated...
