Reducing noise from ECS NGT430C Graphics card
#1
I have installed my new graphics card into my Apex MI-008 case with i3/H55N-USB3 system. The noise coming from the fan on the graphics card is really quite high, louder than the CPU fan and the power supply.

Can I silence/quieten this ?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear that the card is too loud for you. There are a few options. First measure the space the card has (I would love to know that actually) from the case.

Then in that space see if a new HSF can fit (one with no fan or a larger fan) or see if you can just fit in a larger fan to blow across the card.

One you have the exact measurements, we can go from there. As some guidelines, here are the two fanless GPU HSFs on the market:

And a GPU HSF with a quieter fan:

Let me know when you have the measurements....

sorry for the delayed response.

the distance from the card slot to the edge of the case is 23mm. The distancefrom the centre of the card (the slot) to the outside edge of the fan is 12mm.
