I am trying to get xbmc(live) to output VGA to my TV (the laptop I am using only has a VGA output). I can't seem to get xbmc to recognize the output although a Ubuntu live CD automatically recognizes the TV.
I have tried http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=62262 and http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=43024 but they each caused xbmc to boot straight into the command line.
Am I SOL when it comes to VGA output? I'm using a GeForceGo 7300 graphics card. I know that XBMC recommends the 8-series, is that what could be preventing this from working?

Nope. Ended up finding a new 360 for really cheap and just used that and WMC to share stuff between my computer and TV in the other room.
