MCE Remote Disconnects/Reconnects Itself
#1
When I plug in my MCE receiver it installs the driver and then acts like it's being plugged in and out repeatedly. It basically seems like it is disconnecting and reconnecting itself, I can see the hardware remove itself and refresh in the device manager. I'm starting to think its just a compatability issue with my board (details below), but want to know if anyone else has run into this?

I have this MCE remote: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16880121002

Your link seems to be broken, but have you tried a different usb port. I had this problem with my xbox wireless controller and it was the usb port on the case. It wouldn't hold the usb connector in tightly. Moved to a different port and all was well.

I'd be surprised if it was a compatability issue. It sounds miore like a duff receiver or as cmgrant suggests a duff USB port and/or connector.

I've tested over a dozen remotes on many different combinations of XBMC and Windows, and I've never seen this behaviour.
