what settings should I use if I want hdmi audio. I want hdmi to my tv and from my tv to my receiver a optical cable. (I only have one input on my receiver).

anyone have a fix for this? I am still not able to get it going.

I installed this image on my ATV's drive, then upgraded XBMC using apt-get (dpkg calls my version "Version: 2:10.00~svn35648-hardy1"), then I bought/installed a broadcom crystalhd v.15, then apt-get install'd crystalhd-dkms and libcrystalhd3.

What does do I need to do to use my crystal hd card? Video settings menu does not mention CrystalHD (it does mention "Allow hardware acceleration (VDPAU)").

Hi trying to use the guide to put sams image onto internal.

I get to the bit

Sudo parted
Print all

and it gives me an error. GPT table is not at the end of the disk system may think its smaller or something. Then it has fix/cancel. If I cancel the party stops. If i fix then after reboot i get to

sudo fsck.hfsplus /dev/sda2
sudo mkdir tmp
sudo mount /dev/sda2 tmp

and that doesnt work. tmp says already exists and mount says cant mount.

Any ideas.
The usb image boots fine from the stick.

Hi everybody!
I'm a linus Newbye and i dont' know a single command but with this guide at last I have an apple TV with crystal HD and full 1080p 24hz....
How can I see if my xbmc is the last version? I don't find the version in the system menu and I hope to have updated it but I'don't know if I do it. How can i install the last RC2? I need the noob code

And also another question. Can I remove the Crystalhd folder? I remove the 156 and 174 folder but i don't know if the folder in the picture is another installation folder to remove....

I am having problems with this image too i upgraded xbmc and crystal hd drivers
but every time i want to watch movie screen becomes black for some time and than it starts after pressing menu button system freezes and even ssh loses connection

How can i Update to XBMC 35744?!?!?!
i try everythink but my XBC remain the revision of 17 December.......
I use this guide:

Thanks for this guide. I was able to install pins image to the internal hard drive.. updated the crystal drivers and xbmc to 10.0 and 1080p is playing flawlessly.

I got problems while executing the second command:

xbmc@AppleTV:~$ sudo apt-get install build-essential patch
Reading package lists... Error!
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, renamed status to status-bla and status-old to status. Now it works
