having problems with music and tv show organization

I have found that manually editing every one of my TV show files with the prefix SXXEXX works, however I wanted to know if there was a program that could do this for me. Additionally, I cant figure out how to make XBMC recognize miniseries like Band of Brothers, or Anime that dont have "seasons". Also how do I gather metadata for my music? Are there programs available to organize all of this for me?

that software only can detect 20% of the files in each show, how can I improve this? Also what should I do for Audio

You have to tag your music properly. That's all you have to do.
