Jaypeg Wrote:Nice progress. Really nice home screen, though I'm not too fond about the placement of the settings menu item. Maybe that should only be accessible through 's'-press if you want the menu to be scrollable.

For the poster view I'd like to have the option to disable fanart. I don't really like fanart when it's cropped that much - maybe make the posters smaller?

Yeah I realised when I put the PSD up on the big screen that the posters are way too big, I'll change that and of course you'll have the option to turn fanart off. I'll see if I change modify that mockup tonight with better sized posters.

Regarding the settings button, personally I don't have an 'S' press on my remote, and I'm not sure most do to my knowledge so it'd be cruel to limit it to a keyboard press for those that use remotes.

I'm still trying to decide what to do with the settings button, to me i dont think it warrants being on the same bar as all the other menu items such as video, music, movies etc and should be alot more discreet.

Of course I could always give the option to turn it off for those that use keyboards, problem is getting stuck if you cant access settings again.

well my plan is to get everything mocked up first, which is alot, theres so many screens to get ready. and then find a coder who's interested in making this with me and then sure enough its easy enough in photoshop to convert every layer into images so infact i'll be actually creating the images as I go along.

Exactly what I've been doing with Paper Street. A piece of advice before you get started breaking images apart - find a way to stay organized (file structure) with each view you have images for, it makes it a lot easier. I learned it the hard way when things kind-of got away from me.

Otherwise, good look with this! I think you've got a nice clean usable interface going here!
