[windows] xs35gt + xbmc?

I'm linux noob, and being comfortable with windows, that is what I'm going to use Smile

Fair enough, but what i was trying to get at was what specifically are you going to be using the box for.

Just xbmc? XBMC and other bits, etc..

im running Win 7 on my XS35GT and it plays 1080p just fine, only times i have trouble is when i have it doing to many things in the background (It's my media server, and serves a couple other fuctions for me at the moment as well)

did it work out of the box? what are you using for audio out - analog? optical? hdmi?

you have to upgrade the bios to V1.09 i believe, mine came out of the box with 1.08 so no network connections were working, that was addressed in the other thread for the XS35GT.

other than that it was very easy to set up, my audio goes out HDMI to my reciever, then on to my TV.
