"Recently added" to main menu

Hey,

Is there any way to get "recently added" -infobox to top corner or anywhere, it would be really nice to see newest movies/episodes quickly and easily after I put them to my NAS-server.

What I mean is something like this: http://xbmc.org/wp-content/gallery/back-...hot000.jpg

Or more preferably this: http://xbmc.org/wp-content/gallery/media...ot068d.jpg

Or should I just stick with different Skin, example Mediastream Redux?
