[Windows] TV Show Thumbnails
#1
I use Ember along with XBMC and they are both great (no complaints). Now, I'm sure that many of you know this and think this is a stupid question, but I just don't understand XBMC's naming conventions for tv episode thumbnails. Everything else works great except this.

I saved the thumbnails as the following

~Television/<tvshow>/<Season Number>/<episode name>.jpg

However, in XBMC it only takes a random thumbnail from the actual file. So I tried the following.

~Television/<tvshow>/<Season Number>/<episode name>/<episode name>.jpg

And little luck (it randomly works for 1 or 2 episodes).

I know this is a simple question and I am aware of the wiki, but I would like to know how people get local .jpg show as thumbnails in XBMC.

Thanks.

I believe you need to use .tbn files for that. Just rename the extension and see if it works.

Hi,

.tbn image are the same as .jpg images

Remember that, in Windows Explorer, you can see them after this small .reg file to launch:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.tbn\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{3F30C968-480A-4C6C-862D-EFC0897BB84B}"
