Play back of video on xbmc is not quite as good as MCE?

Hi Guys,
Play back of videos on XBMC is not quite as clear as MCE,
my setup: vista premium 32bit, graphics card is ati HD 5700 running @ full 1920x1080i I have tried changing it from progressive to non progressive but no luck, Decoder Shark007 vista codec pack
I have tweaked the shark decoder a little bit to give awesome clear playback in media center software, but in Xbmc it does not look quite as good image looks soft & brighter? can anyone give me some tips in making its playback better?
*let me know if more info is needed*

XBMC does not use external codecs. If you want to use your own codec use the DSPlayer for XBMC.
